ASTM C204 از دستگاه بلین (نرمی) سیمان جهت تعیین سطح مخصوص ذرات و در نتیجه نرمی سیمان استفاده می شود. اندازه ذرات سیمان نقش بسزایی در سرعت هیدراتاسیون سیمان هنگام تماس با آب دارد. سطح مخصوص سیمان تابعی از اندازه ذرات سیمان می باشد. هرچه ذرات سیمان ریزتر باشند، در نتیجه سطح مخصوص سیمان بزرگتر می شود. قطعات جانبی دستگاه : تمام استیل به همراه سمبه مربوطه می باشد. مایع بلین 100 CC دارد. یک بسته فیلتر بلین 100 عددی دارد. فیلتر برنجی سوراخ دار را شامل می شود. دستگاه بلین اتوماتیک سیمان، دستگاهی برای تشخص میزان نرمی سیمان پرتلند که بر پایه سطح ویژه و به شیوه نفوذپذیری هوا در مواد مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد. با توجه به اینکه در دستگاه های منوآل(دستی) خطای کاربر وجود دارد، دستگاه بلین اتوماتیک برای جلوگیری از خطای کاربر تولید شده است. نحوه کارکرد این دستگاه مانند دستگاههای دیگر میباشد ولی با این فرق که با شروع فرایند استارت دستگاه مکش توسط دستگاه مکنده خودکار که از حساسیت و دقت بسیار زیادی با دقت دهم میلیمتر مکیده میشود. طی این فرایند نرمی سیمان به شکل سطح خاص، با مشاهده میزان زمانی که مورد نیاز است تا یک مقدار ثابت هوا از آن عبور کند، از راه کف سیمان فشرده با اندازه و تراز تخلخل معلوم اندازه گرفته میشود. تست بلین (میزان نرمی سیمان) یک آزمون سنجشی است و به همین دلیل استفاده از سیمان مرجع و تست شده برای مقایسه نتایج بدست آمده با نتایج آزمون سیمان مرجع لازم میباشد. شرح آزمایش با دستگاه بلین اتوماتیک سیمان: اگر سیمانی که مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد دانه های ریزتری داشته باشد سطح تماس آن افزایش یافته و در نتیجه سطح مخصوص آن نیز بیشتر خواهد شد. میزان اندازه دانه های سیمان در گیرندگی آن در محل مناسب تاثیر بسیار زیادی دارد به ویژه هنگام ساخت انواع بتن؛ بعضی وقت ها ما به بتنی نیاز داریم که سریع باشد. در این صورت به جای اینکه از مواد و افزودنی هایی استفاده کنیم که در بیشتر مواقع اثرات نامطلوب و بدی بر بتن دارند، از سیمانی استفاده کنیم که میزان نرمی متفاوتی دارند. در واقع میزان این دانه بندی ها برحسب نرمی و ریزی دانه های سیمان به تیپ های ۱ـ ۵ تقسیم بندی میشوند. مراحل آزمایش دستگاه بلین: مرحله اول در این مرحله ابتدا صفحهای مشبک را درون استوانه دستگاه قرار میدهیم، سپس کاغذ صافی مخصوص درون مخزن(سل بلین) و بر روی صفحه مشبک میگذاریم و میزان مشخصی از سیمان را وزن کرده و درون مخزن دستگاه میریزیم. حالا سطح سیمان را با ضربات آهستهای که به مخزن وارد میکنیم صاف میکنیم. مرحله دوم در این مرحله یک کاغذ صافی دیگری را دقیقا روی سیمان میگذاریم و سمبه(پیستون) را داخل مخزن(سل بلین) میکنیم تا جایی که کلاهک آن به انتهای استوانه برسد. کف سیمان را به صورت کامل فشرده میکنیم و اینک پیستون را بیرون میکشیم. مرحله سوم در این مرحله مخزن تراوایی(سل بلین) را بر روی لوله ی T شکل بگذاریم و باید از آب بندی لوله اطمینان کسب کنیم. برای مطمئن شدن از آب بندی لوله ها و نیز عدم عبور هوا، لازم است تا سطحی از لوله مانومتر و قسمت خارجی سلول که در تماس با هم میباشند را با کمی گریس مخصوص بلین یا وازلین چرب کنیم، و نیز باید دقت کنیم که سیمان و کاغذ صافی دچار اختلال نشوند. مرحله چهارم در این مرحله باید هوایی که در یک بازوی لوله وجود دارد را به آرامی خارج کنیم. به گونه ای که محلول موجود درون لوله به بالاترین نشانگر لوله برسد. در همین حین باید شیر را بسته و پیستون را خارج کنیم و زمان سنج را نیز آماده کنیم. زمانی که مایع رنگی(سنجش) به نشانگر دوم لوله از سمت بالا رسید استارت زمان سنج را زده و هنگامی که به نشانگر سوم لوله رسید آنرا متوقف کنید. در دستگاه های اندازه گیری بلین دستی، ارتفاع قرارگیری دستگاه نسبت به چشم کاربر ممکن است متغیر باشد و اندازه گیری زمان در حد صدم ثانیه در این تست تاثیرگذار می باشد. در نتیجه سیستم دستی با خطایی مواجه است که در این دستگاه، این خطا ها وجود ندارد. مشخصات فنی دستگاه بلین اتوماتیک سیمان: 1. یکی از ویژگی ها و مشخصه هایی که دستگاه بلین دارد ارزیابی زمان نفوذ هوا و یا میزان نرمی سیمان به صورت کاملا اتوماتیک میباشد. 2.ا ین دستگاه قادر است تا دمای محیط آزمایش را نیز ارزیابی و محاسبه کند. 3. این دستگاه از سنسور نوری برای ارزیابی زمان نرمی سیمان بهره میبرد. 4. امکان وارد کردن معیارهای سیمان استاندارد برای کالیبراسیون دستگاه و ارزیابی نتایج به دست آمده به شکل نرم افزاری 5. امکان اجرای آزمون یک مرحله ای و چند مرحله ای و ارزیابی میانگین چند آزمون 6. قرار دادن اطلاعاتی مانند میزان تخلخل سیمان 7. امکان چاپ نتیجه ی آزمون
