How Does a Hot Oil Boiler System Work?
Heating the Thermal Oil:
Thermal oil is heated in the boiler to the desired temperature, usually between 150 to 400 degrees Celsius (302 to 752 degrees Fahrenheit).
Circulating Hot Oil:
A pump transfers the heated oil through the system to the heat exchangers.
Heat Transfer:
Thermal oil releases its heat to processes or equipment such as reactors, dryers, or storage tanks.
Return and Reheat:
After heat transfer, the cooled oil returns to the boiler for reheating, creating a continuous cycle.
