Dythylene glycol (DEG) is an organic and colorless organic compound, transparent with the C4H10O3 chemical formula and dissolution in water and many organic compounds. This compound is used in many chemical industries for proper moisture capability. This compound is widely used as a reactive solvent in the production of plastics and other products.
Dythylene glycol is a mixed in water, alcohol, ether, acetone and ethylene glycol and is very useful as a solvent. This product is relatively viscose and colorless liquid that has a mild smell. Due to the less toxicity of the glycol than the glycol di -ethylene, some industries and uses of this substance have been replaced by di -ethylene glycol.
Dyedylene glycol is very similar to mono ethylene glycol in terms of properties and properties, but di -ethylene glycol has more welding, viscosity and density. The meg is the raw material of polyester fiber, PET resins, alkids and unsaturated polyester, but di -ethylene glycol is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins, polyurethane and plastic.
