What is Descaler? Descaler, or scale remover, refers to a chemical solution used for descaling various surfaces in cooling and heating installations, cooling towers, steam boilers, boilers, and more. It does not harm devices or pipes in any way. Descalers based on this have the widest applications. Descaler was produced due to scaling problems in various industries so that by adding this solution to the water circulation system, accumulated deposits are removed. Scale is a solid layer insoluble in water that settles on surfaces and pipes of cooling and heating installations, gradually blocking pipes and water pathways, causing increased energy consumption, reduced efficiency, and damage to installations. Chemically, scale is a combination of calcium and magnesium salts (CaCO3 and MgCO3) and others, which after reacting with descaler, turn into a water-soluble solution and are easily washed away. This solution does not damage pipes or metals. The main component of descaler is mineral acid (inhibited acid), and the presence of a protective agent (inhibitor) in this compound protects all metals from subsequent corrosion. Also, a wetting agent (surfactant) is used in this composition for better and faster penetration into deposits and more effective descaling. Currently, descaler is the most important acid for descaling cooling and heating equipment and installations worldwide. Its most important property is its high capacity to dissolve oxide layers. Descaler is hazardous and requires safety equipment and proper gear for use.
