Waterproof Primer for Wood and MDF.
Primer PRC041 is a solvent-based acrylic resin (German PMMA) and the most durable waterproof primer for natural wood and MDF, specially designed for outdoor spaces exposed to intense sunlight. It serves as a waterproof acrylic base or primer to prepare surfaces for painting CNC cut sections (as a substitute for using PVC tape). It can be used to waterproof wooden cabinets and cabinet countertops made from natural wood; it can either completely replace PVC tape or be applied before the PVC tape. The latter method not only prevents water infiltration at the tape joint but also significantly improves the adhesion of the PVC tape to the cut section. Waterproofing under-sink cabinets is achieved using the thermoplastic primer PRC041 produced by Diako Choob Bespar Far Avar, designed to seal the cut edges of laminated MDF used in cabinet body construction. **Usage Instructions:** 1- Pour primer PRC041 into a small paint tray and use a 5 cm roller to thoroughly coat the straight or CNC-cut MDF edges so that the transparent primer penetrates the dry MDF section like water. After 10-15 minutes, the primer dries, and upon water exposure, you will notice that water no longer penetrates the MDF. Repeating this saturation process will maximize the product's water repellency. 2- If decorative color matching is needed to cover the CNC-cut MDF edges with topcoat paint, the thermoplastic topcoat PRC141, made from reinforced PVC like the primer, can be used. This ensures the cut section matches the topcoat color and is completely resistant to water, acids, and detergents. It can also be used for double cabinet countertop painting, edge banding, and milling, providing a quality PVC surface on the processed area. Note: If the substrate surface is glossy and flawless, no need to use quick putty or create scratches for paint adhesion on foamed surface (like high-density sheets). Note: The main role of quick putty is to fill tiny holes on low-quality and grade 2 foamed surfaces, preventing bubbles on paint and possibly on final sprayed clear coat. 4- After half an hour of drying quick putty and release of thinner gases (usually 30 minutes at 25°C), parts do not need sanding, but for achieving a glossy base, you can sand with wet sandpaper 1000-2000-2500 grit and some liquid soap to improve paint base quality and final high gloss effect. Note: After sanding and washing, allow more time for complete drying to avoid water bubbles in next layers, as foamed PVC absorbs about 15-20% water due to high calcium carbonate content used recently to reduce costs. 5- At this stage, spray primer and paint, depending on customer choice, from low-gloss PVC base or solvent-based acrylic glossy and scratch-resistant paint on the part (for thinning and maintaining gloss, use the company's additive thinner; otherwise, use quick thinner 20000 or higher for glossier coating). This step does not require sanding. 6- Finally, after a maximum of 2 hours drying of paint coating, apply PRCN-14250 nano-technology solvent-based acrylic matte/glossy scratch-resistant clear coat (custom product of Diaco Choob) which provides a glossy surface with needle texture, higher transparency and resistance than glass, and very water-repellent without need for sanding or polishing. ***- Advantages of using Diaco Choob Bespar Far Avar paints for foamed PVC painting:*** The greatest advantage of using same-material layers of putty, primer, paint, and transparent scratch-resistant clear coat is that all layers chemically bond strongly to each other and to the PVC (foamed) substrate (fusion paint) via covalent bonds. E06 SPL epoxy resin of Khuzestan Petrochemical is obtained from the reaction of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. Features of Khuzestan E06 epoxy resin include high abrasion resistance, good mechanical strength, excellent chemical and environmental resistance, low volumetric changes during curing, excellent dimensional stability, high temperature resistance, good electrical insulation, high acid resistance, and excellent adhesion to various substrates. Due to its mechanical and chemical resistance to impact and chemical compounds, Khuzestan E06 epoxy resin is used in the production of industrial flooring, hospital and telecommunications flooring, and waterproof sealants for parking floors. These floorings have long service life and excellent strength. The high adhesive strength of the epoxy resin has also made this Iranian resin useful as an adhesive for bonding parts, as well as for grout and putty in the civil engineering and construction industries for filling voids in walls, filling joints, repairing cracks in concrete, and more. Khuzestan epoxy resin is used in the stone industry to provide exceptional reinforcement to stone (back and face).
