Microprocessor Phase Control Series N Shiva Amvaj Code 13JN1
The microprocessor mini phase control by Shiva Amvaj is designed and manufactured in a compact size, with high accuracy and efficiency, and with the capability to seal the panel (to prevent unauthorized access and changes to the configured parameters). Using the Shiva Amvaj microprocessor phase control, disturbances caused by phase loss, phase displacement, phase imbalance, and voltage increases or decreases can be controlled in all industrial, commercial, and residential centers.

Phase Control:
This device is designed to protect three-phase motors against excessive voltage drops or rises in the network, phase loss, or phase displacement. Often, motor failures are caused by incomplete contactor contact connections, so phase control is installed after the contactor.
Phase Control Operation:
After connecting the three phases and neutral to terminals L1, L2, L3, and mp, if voltages and phase sequence are correct, the "u" indicator lights up. If the phase sequence is incorrect (PH indicator lights up), swapping the position of two phases can correct the issue. After the delay time, the RLY light turns on, the relay contact 15 switches from 16 to 18. If any network fault occurs, the related indicator lights up (e.g., PH light for phase loss or displacement, "u" lights for over- or under-voltage). When RLY indicator turns off, the internal relay cuts off.
Relay Settings:
Most phase controls have two adjustment screws described as follows:
Response time: This screw adjusts the delay time before cut-off, covering start-up delays to prevent unwanted relay operation.
Phase cut-off sensitivity: This adjusts the asymmetry and voltage return thresholds for output cut-off (usually 15-20% sensitivity is suitable, but motors with significant voltage return can use 5% sensitivity; if network voltage asymmetry interferes with normal relay operation, 25-30% sensitivity may be used).
Difference between Phase Control and Super Phase Control: Phase control has fixed, non-adjustable thresholds for over-voltage, under-voltage, and asymmetry, whereas super phase control allows adjustment.
The neutral wire ensures network balance; if the neutral wire is live, the phase control activates and disconnects the system.
To verify relay adjustment, while the motor is running, disconnecting the fuse of one phase will cause a two-phase condition and activate the phase control relay.
