E06 SPL epoxy resin of Khuzestan Petrochemical is obtained from the reaction of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. Features of Khuzestan E06 epoxy resin include high abrasion resistance, good mechanical strength, excellent chemical and environmental resistance, low volumetric changes during curing, excellent dimensional stability, high temperature resistance, good electrical insulation, high acid resistance, and excellent adhesion to various substrates.
Due to its mechanical and chemical resistance to impact and chemical compounds, Khuzestan E06 epoxy resin is used in the production of industrial flooring, hospital and telecommunications flooring, and waterproof sealants for parking floors. These floorings have long service life and excellent strength. The high adhesive strength of the epoxy resin has also made this Iranian resin useful as an adhesive for bonding parts, as well as for grout and putty in the civil engineering and construction industries for filling voids in walls, filling joints, repairing cracks in concrete, and more.
Khuzestan epoxy resin is used in the stone industry to provide exceptional reinforcement to stone (back and face). The electrical insulation properties of Khuzestan Petrochemical’s E06 epoxy resin have led to its use in the manufacture of products such as high-voltage insulators, insulation and potting of electrical components and circuit boards. Additionally, epoxy composites, due to their high strength and light weight, are used in the production of filament-wound pressure vessels, boat hulls, helicopter blades, and more. Given the lower cost of the Iranian E06SPL epoxy resin compared to foreign resins, the use of this resin together with 10% Teta Toso hardeners and 50% polyamine hardener PC205 in the production of composite parts has attracted considerable attention.
