Primer PRC041 is a solvent-based acrylic resin (German PMMA) and the most durable natural wood and MDF waterproofing primer, specially designed for outdoor spaces exposed to intense sunlight. It creates a waterproof acrylic base or primer to prepare surfaces for painting CNC cut sections (as a substitute for PVC tape). It can be used to waterproof wooden cabinets and cabinet countertops made of natural wood, either completely replacing PVC tape or applied before PVC tape. The latter method not only prevents water penetration at the tape joints but also significantly improves the adhesion of PVC tape to the cut section.
Waterproofing kitchen sink cabinets is achieved by using the thermoplastic primer PRC041 produced by Diako Choob Bespar Far Avar, designed to seal the cut edges of laminated MDF used in cabinet body construction.
Usage Instructions: 1- Pour primer PRC041 into a small paint tray and use a 5 cm roller to thoroughly coat the straight or CNC-cut MDF edges so that the transparent primer penetrates the dry MDF section like water. After 10-15 minutes, the primer dries, and when the MDF is exposed to water, no water penetrates the MDF. Repeating this saturation process enhances the product's water repellency to its maximum level. 2- If decorative color matching is needed to cover the CNC-cut MDF edges with the topcoat color, the thermoplastic topcoat PRC141, made from reinforced PVC like the primer, can be used. This creates a uniform, fully waterproof, acid-resistant, and detergent-resistant surface matching the topcoat color. It can also be used for double-layer cabinet countertop painting, edge banding, and milling. This paint provides a smooth PVC surface on processed areas.
