Fetalic Anhydride with chemical formula c₈h₄o₃ is a chemical compound with pitcam identity; Its molecule is 1,48g / mol. The appearance of this compound is white beads. Fetalic anhydride is the main commercial form of fatalic acid. This colorless solid is an important industrial chemical, especially for large -scale production of plastics.

Nowadays, the fatalic anhydride is made from naphthalene or ortho xylene in the gas phase in the air with the vanadium oxide and titanium dioxide. This reaction is heating and Malic anhydride is also produced as by -product. PA is also obtained from the heating of photialic acid.

Fetalic anhydride applications

The main use of phthalic anhydride in plastic synthesis is the sizes, alkideid resins and unsaturated polyester resins. The derivatives of this substance are ventilated phthalates, which are the main cause of softeners such as DIDP, DOP, BBP and DINP. These are the main conditioners for polyvinyl chloride resins, which are mainly used in plastic ropes, horticultural hose and home appliances.

Unsaturated polyester resins from the reaction of a unsaturated di carboxylic acid, glycols, and a type of carboxylic aromatic acid, often obtained by PA or iso -fatalic acid or its mixture. These resins are used in pools, roof surfaces, pipes, yachts, skiing, stainless tanks and hygiene.

Alcaid resins are obtained from the reaction of multi -factor acids or anhydrides such as phthalic anhydride, ISO phthalic and maly anhydride with glycerin or Penta Errrhyteol. Alcaid resins are used in architectural, home, commercial and industrial coatings and in rubber and traffic colors.

PA is also used as antiviral, flame inhibitors, production of pigments, halogenic anhydrides, polyet resins and polyester polys. Yellow kinoline is a popular color obtained from fatalic anhydride compression and 2-momitine quinoline.
