What is a metal pipe?

For this reason, they are used in water, gas, heating and urban plumbing systems, as well as in everyday items such as cars, flagpoles, street lights and refrigerators. Similarly, steel pipes are often used by the construction industry in shipbuilding, architecture, oil refineries, etc. Steel pipes are more common than other pipes due to their adaptability to different conditions; So that millions of tons of steel pipes are produced and sold all over the world every year.

Sealed black pipe
To produce this type of pipe, first the steel sheet is rolled and then its seam is welded. The sealed black pipe has various uses. This type of pipe is widely used to transport water, gas and steam in fire fighting systems, sewage and utility systems. One of the reasons for using this type of pipe is the lower production cost and price compared to other types of metal pipes. Among the disadvantages of the black seamed pipe, it can be mentioned that it tolerates lower pressure and temperature compared to seamless pipes.

Manisman's tube
The production of Manisman pipe, which is seamless, is done in different ways. Sand casting, centrifugal casting, Mannesmann, etc. are among these. The strong and integrated structure along the entire length of the pipe is one of the advantages of this type of pipe. Due to its greater strength, Mannheim tube is used in environments with high temperature and pressure. Making this type of pipe in a large size is expensive. For this reason, Manisman pipe is used in the parts where medium and small size pipes are needed. In fire extinguishing systems and engine room, this type of pipe is a very suitable option.

Galvanized pipe
Another category of metal pipes is galvanized pipe. These pipes are divided into two categories: galvanized steel pipe and galvanized iron pipe. Meanwhile, galvanized steel pipes are lighter and more shiny. Galvanized pipe is used in many projects. Air conditioning equipment, sewage drainage system, acidic and rust-prone environments, fencing, greenhouses and treatment plants are among these projects.

Galvanization is a process in which the black seam pipe or Manisman pipe is coated with a layer of a resistant metal such as zinc. For this reason, it is more common to use this pipe in places where there is more possibility of corrosion and rust.
