Raya Shimi Parsian Co. was founded in 2019 with the support of more than 25 years of experience in the production of food phosphate raw materials with the aim of manufacturing sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in the following different grades: food, pharmaceutical, industrial, and feed with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons.

Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, bicarbonate of soda or sodium hydrogen carbonate, is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. This salt is composed of sodium cation (+Na) and bicarbonate anion (–HCO3). Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is one of sodium salts combined with carbonic acid, where only one acidic hydrogen of this compound is replaced by sodium.
Sodium bicarbonate in solid state is formed as white, odorless granules or crystalline powders and has the basic property. It is slightly soluble and dissolves in ethanol in a small amount. Bicarbonate absorbs moisture and deodorizes. Sodium bicarbonate is found in nature in the mineral form of nahcolite.
